Hospital Healthcare Europe’s Clinical Excellence in Respiratory Care returns this autumn for a one-day event examining the latest advances in respiratory infections – and registration is now open.
Taking place on 13 November, this event brings together renowned experts from recognised Centres of Excellence and other UK hospitals to share their experiences of clinical innovations, examples of best practice and how they are improving patient care.
This time, topics on the agenda include unravelling interstitial lung disease with the multidisciplinary team from respiratory and medicines optimisation pharmacist Ravijyot Saggu, who is chair of the UK Clinical Pharmacy Association’s Respiratory Committee and clinical member of the NHS England Respiratory Clinical Reference Group.
A detailed overview of bronchiectasis as an overlooked cause of chronic cough and infection will be shared by Dr Uta Hill, respiratory consultant at the Cambridge Centre of Lung Infection, Royal Papworth Hospital.
Professor Suveer Singh, consultant in respiratory and critical care medicine at the Royal Brompton Hospital – part of Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust – will share his take on the evidence, challenges and opportunities in antibiotic prescribing for respiratory infections.
How to manage the surge of respiratory infections will be the focus on the final session from Professor Matt Inada-Kim, consultant acute physician at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the University of Southampton, as well as national clinical director, infection management and antimicrobial resistance at NHS England.
