Healthcare professionals are invited to register for a free ASK Uveal Melanoma webinar to discover more about the recognition, diagnosis and clinical significance of this rare disease that poses a significant challenge for clinicians.
Taking place on Thursday, 25 June 2026 from 5pm BST / 6pm CEST, the 60-minute session, titled ‘Staring you straight in the eyes: uveal melanoma’, will provide an expert-led introduction to the disease and its impact on patients.
Uveal melanoma is the most common primary intraocular malignant tumour in adults and is associated with a high risk of metastasis and mortality. Earlier recognition and appropriate referral are therefore essential to supporting timely diagnosis and specialist care.
This webinar will bring together an international expert faculty to discuss the fundamentals of the disease, helping healthcare professionals build confidence in its identification and understanding its clinical pathway.
Expert faculty members
Members of the expert faculty joining the webinar are Professor Sarah Coupland, ophthalmic pathology co-lead at Liverpool Clinical Laboratories, Royal Liverpool University Hospital, UK; Dr Sophie Piperno-Neumann, medical oncologist at the leading French cancer treatment and research centre, the Curie Institute, in Paris, France; and Professor Antonia M. Joussen, chair of ophthalmology and vitreoretinal surgeon at Charité – University Medicine Berlin, Germany.
The websinar is suited to healthcare professionals involved in ophthalmology, oncology and the wider multidisciplinary care of patients with uveal melanoma.
Attendees will be able to earn 1 CE/CPD credit (pending CME accreditation), and the webinar forms part of the ASK Uveal Melanoma education programme. This is designed to support healthcare professionals in improving their attitude, skills and knowledge around the disease.
