UK launch for novel inline pump

Norgren, an international market leader in precision gas regulation and fluid control technology, will be showcasing a highly innovative new inline pump on stand 426 at Medtech UK, which will be held at London’s Olympia, from 1-2 May 2013.

Designed for micro-fluidic handling, the IP 1000 pump from Kloehn Inc., part of Norgren, enables users of clinical chemistry equipment to quickly and easily replace cartridge syringes themselves without taking the pump out of service. The product is a zero dead volume pump which evacuates completely, leaving no air bubbles to interfere with measurements or reduce accuracy, and as the syringe is encapsulated within the cartridge, any leaks that may occur due to wear are directed away from the motor to prevent pump damage.

Ian Houston, UK Head of Business Development – Life Sciences at Norgren, commented: “The Kloehn IP 1000 is also an example of how Norgren delivers Engineering Advantage by delivering high performance products which help customers to simplify their processes. The pump minimises downtime associated with syringe replacement, meaning equipment does not need to be sent away for servicing and laboratory teams can continue their tasks virtually uninterrupted.”

Visitors to the Norgren stand will be able to see these innovative products as well as many other Norgren solutions, as well as meeting expert members of the team to discuss their specific requirements.

Ian Houston added: “Medtech UK is an ideal opportunity for us to introduce these products to key specifiers and decision-makers in the UK life sciences market. As well as the Kloehn IP 1000, we will be showcasing various high-performance products suitable for a range of applications, all of which demonstrate Norgren’s ability to deliver precise solutions for key customer requirements.”
