Designed around the identified needs of clinicians in order to optimise versatility, infection control and manual handling benefits, Sidhil’s latest Doherty branded plinths provide high performance solutions for medical, clinical, rehabilitation and neurological applications.
The Doherty plinth range includes a choice of models to suit a variety of therapeutic requirements and medical needs, and has already sold approaching 2000 units.
The plinths are designed to provide both head down tilt and feet up positions to meet the requirements of differing clinical procedures. Dual sided operation makes them versatile in use, and they can also be moved from location to location easily, with twin retractable castors and a simple levelling system for uneven floors.
Built around a strong tubular steel frame with white anti-microbial protective coating, these two and three section, electrically operated plinths feature Doherty-style upholstery with rounded corners for hygiene and cleanliness in a choice of 12 attractive colours. A simple, easy to use handset provides smooth and swift height and position adjustment, featuring gas-assisted backrest and back sections.
Summer 2013 will see further additions to the range in the shape of redesigned treatment chairs, focused on the needs of both users and clinicians and ergonomically designed to provide increased comfort and safety in use.
The range includes electrically operated, variable height bariatric treatment plinths in two and three section configurations capable of handling maximum user weights up to 320kgs (50 stone). Although engineered primarily for bariatric applications, the two-section option is an extra-wide design, featuring a larger surface area which also makes it particularly suitable for non-bariatric physiotherapy and neurology environments.
Delivered fully assembled, the Doherty plinths are available in a selection of 12 attractive colour options to harmonise with interior fittings and décor. The comprehensive range of purpose-designed accessories includes side rails, knee troughs, phlebotomy arms and lithotomy stirrups, and breathing hole and paper roll are fitted as standard.
