The Hanover-based hospital group Klinikum Region Hannover GmbH has installed a standardised system for payroll processing.
Siemens IT Solutions and Services consolidated the corresponding IT structure of the twelve hospitals and implemented the SAP payroll processing software. Six months later, the solution was ready for practical deployment at the various hospitals.
Klinikum Region Hannover is a group of twelve hospitals situated in and around Hanover in northern Germany. The company treats some 118,000 inpatients and 250,000 outpatients, making it one of the largest operators of public clinics in Germany.
The hospital group is looking to standardise its business processes and thereby reduce costs. To this end, Siemens IT Solutions and Services implemented the SAP solution and transferred the group’s personnel data from the two existing systems to the new software application, thereby enabling the human resources departments to access the data centrally. As a result, hospital personnel can be exchanged with no administrative effort.
Siemens IT Solutions and Services has already provided support for a number of hospitals throughout Germany in migrating their HR data to standardised systems like the Alfred Krupp Hospital at Essen.
