Hospitals are being given a helping hand in their fight against superbugs thanks to the launch of new antimicrobial hygiene pack.
PatientPak is ideal for anyone in hospital, in a care home or someone travelling where they are concerned about hygiene.
The company says the products contained within the pack are proven to kill a wide spectrum of viruses and bacteria, including Escherichia Coli, Norovirus, Campylobacter, Salmonella, Listeria and Avian Flu (H5N1).
According to PatientPak, its product contains a patented formula developed by experts which is effective after just 10 seconds.
The pack offers two types of wipe – a powerful antimicrobial surface wipes and a gentle face and body wipe.
There is also an antimicrobial sanitising hand spray and an antimicrobial hair and body wash, as well as a fabric spray that kills germs on bed linen, curtains and clothing.
Professor Richard James, director of the Centre for Healthcare Associated Infections based at the University of Nottingham, said: “The new kit is very timely, providing a convenient and simple solution for patients wishing to take greater care of their own personal hygiene.”
