Owen Mumford wins Red Dot award in product design for Unifine® Pentips® Plus pen needle

On the awards’ 60th anniversary, Owen Mumford has been announced winner of the Red Dot Award in Product Design for its Unifine® Pentips® Plus pen needle, designed for the treatment of diabetes.

With its unique integrated disposal chamber, the Unifine® Pentips® has been carefully designed to encourage more frequent needle change and to reduce penetration and glide forces for a more comfortable injection experience.  The medical device manufacturer won the award within the Product Design category which saw a total of 4928 entries, from 56 countries, judged by a panel consisting of respected design professors, designers and specialist journalists.

The Unfine® Pentips® Plus pen needle is available in a range of lengths from 4mm 32G to 12mm 29G and available for sale in Europe, North America and Asia with our local China office launching Unifine® Pentips® Plus to their market this month.
