GE Healthcare of Chalfont St Giles, UK, has signed an exclusive agreement to distribute the Iluma conebeam CT scanner from dental products developer Imtec of Ardmore, USA.
Iluma is designed to provide radiographic imaging for sinus, skull base, head and neck, and temporal bone assessment, and produces 14-bit images and voxels as small as 0.09mm thick.
The system comes with software tools that enable users to automatically generate panoramic images, conduct measurements, and produce both surface- and volume-rendered images.
The scanner’s small footprint is well suited for siting in offices, according to the companies, and the system weighs 770lb.
It also integrates with GE’s InstaTrack surgical navigation system.
