Imatis of Norway is to use JAOtech multimedia patient terminals to form the bedside front end for its integrated digital hospital system.
This follows the signing of a global technology partnership between the two companies.
Commenting on the agreement, Andreas Bjørneboe, Vice President Sales at Imatis said: “JAOtech provides us with a high quality, well-designed and cost-effective front end hardware platform for patients – a key component within our overall solution.
“Their bedside PC terminals offer a comprehensive package of modular peripheral options, which makes it very easy for us to tailor our offering to the needs of each individual hospital.”
He added: “JAOtech’s roadmap for evolving their solution is impressive, and eliminates the need for us to devote development resources to ensuring that this aspect of our solution remains state-of-the-art. This allows us to focus on the key differentiator of our solution: our ability to connect people, information, processes and systems within a healthcare organisation.”
Warren Kressinger-Dunn, Managing Director, JAOtech, added: “Imatis offers a comprehensive management solution for hospitals, for which patient terminals are a significant element. We are delighted that they have agreed to become a technology partner and have standardised on our terminals.”
