In order to facilitate your planning, we would like to draw your attention to the 14th EFORT Congress which will take place in Istanbul, Turkey from 5-8 June 2013.
It is the most important scientific event for orthopaedists and trauma surgeons at the European level. The Congress is organised by the European Federation of National Associations of Orthopaedics and Traumatology in cooperation with the Turkish Society of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (TSOT/TOTBID). As guest societies, this year the Latin American SLAOT (Federation of Latin American Societies) and the Brasilian SBOT (Brazilian Society of Traumatology and Orthopaedics), will have a special participation in the scientific programme.
This major event in orthopaedics, orthopaedic surgery and traumatology attracts more than 8,000 participants from European and non-European countries. International experts will present the latest and most important trends as well as highlights in this field – from basic research to new trends in prevention, therapy or rehabilitation.

- Low back pain in children and adolescents
- Risk factors for postoperative infection
- Lower limb reconstruction in orthopaedic oncology
- Trends in treatment of patients with osteoarthritis of the hip or knee
