A hospital information systems provider has launched a suite of automation products following development at the Institut Mutualiste Montsouris (IMM) in Paris, France.
Picis’ Total Perioperative Automation suite is designed to help hospitals increase efficiency, reduce costs and improve the quality of care in surgery.
The IMM, a not-for-proft independent hospital with over 1,100 full-time staff, worked closely with Picis in the development of the software for the French market.
The company claims its Total Perioperative Automation suite can improve surgical throughput, manage resources better and improve procedure documentation.
“Choosing Picis Total Perioperative Automation suite was a strategic decision, which supported our desire to be at the forefront of healthcare technology in France,” said Jean-Michel Gayraud, chief operating officer at IMM.
“The Picis solution helps physicians and nurses to work on an accurate integrated record, increase staff efficiency, reduce costs, improve communication and help to improve the quality of patient care.”
The system’s functionality includes operational/management reporting and analysis, surgical scheduling, patient tracking, resource utilisation, inventory management, and clinical documentation for anaesthesia and recovery room providers, surgeons, operating room nurses, and administrative staff.
