Quantum Pharmaceutical has announced the launch of a new, MHRA-approved aseptic manufacturing facility, providing unparalleled levels quality, safety and a market changing service proposition.
The facility is on the site of Quantum’s state-of-the-art HQ complex near Burnopfield in County Durham, which was officially opened by Sir Terry Leahy, former Chief Executive of Tesco PLC, in December 2012.
Quantum’s new aseptic facility provides a complete range of aseptic compounding and manufacturing services and incorporates cutting edge clean room technology, including state-of-the-art gassing isolators.
Services on offer will include the preparation and supply of sterile medicinal products for intravenous use. Products such as chemotherapy CIVAs and antibiotics will be manufactured and compounded to produce ready to use products for hospital patients. This Development underlines Quantum’s commitment to innovation and development of services which are designed to improve the overall offering to hospital pharmacy, community pharmacy and patients.
